Blessing for a Meal
Bless, O Lord, this food to our use and us to thy service, and keep us ever mindful of the needs of others. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Life is Short
I posted this a long while back on my main blog page, CARSONIA, but it also fits well here and is an absolute FAVORITE of mine! I hope you enjoy it too! :-)
My friends,
Life is short, and we do not have
much time to gladden the hearts of
those who travel with us, so be swift to
love and make haste to be kind.
And may the blessing of the One who
made us, and the One who loves us, and
the One who travels with us, be with
you and those you love this day and always.
AMEN.
~ Adapted from Henri-Frédéric Amiel (1821–1881)
